Are you an aspiring writer, journalist, or just someone with something to say? We want you to write for us.
In addition to our blog on this site, we will be developing pages about attractions and locations around the Cotsowlds and we are open for contributions. You can submit one off pieces, or become a regular contributor. We don’t ask for any commitment, we welcome writing on all aspects of life in the Cotswolds, from various perspectives.
You don’t have to be a resident, but you’re not excluded if you are. You can be a business owner, or working on behalf of a business, or be someone who has visited and been inspired by the beauty of the surroundings.
As long as you have something to say. All we ask is that it’s well written, on a relevant topic and that it’s not spammy, defamatory or written in a way that is likely to get us sued!
We also ask that any content submitted for publication here is unique and not also published in multiple other locations online.
You can submit anonymous pieces, or get full credit as the author – please let us know which you prefer. We are also happy to link back to your own blog/website/youtube channel/whatever as relevant. Yep, that’s right, we are happy for you to use it for self-promotion (just not overtly blatant self-promotion!) provided what you write is of value and interest. Please don’t send us a marketing piece and expect it to get published.
Obviously we reserve the right of full editorial control over anything that we publish and we will need to fact check submissions as appropriate.
If you would like to discuss this in more detail, please get in touch, at the moment the best way is via our twitter account @visit_cotswolds or emailing us – hello at discovercotswolds.co.uk
We acknowledge that this site is still very much a work in progress but why not join us on that journey and help shape the future of it, whilst getting your work published.
A picture is worth a thousand words
We also welcome photographic submissions for use both here and on our Instagram account discovercotswolds (if you follow us there you will see lots of submissions that we’ve already published).
We will also provide full credit for these. If a picture is worth that many words, we have no idea how valuable a video would be worth (maybe 10000 words?) but if you are creating video content and would like to share any of that via this site then please let us know.
