Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and then book or buy something, we may earn a commission. It doesn’t change the price you pay.
The affiliate links are mostly for accommodation, tours and attraction tickets or memberships, through programmes including Booking.com, holidaycottages.co.uk, GetYourGuide, English Heritage and the National Trust. Pages that carry affiliate links say so near the top, and the links themselves are tagged for search engines as sponsored.
Some pages also have a tour booking widget. Booking through it works the same way: we may earn a commission, and you pay the normal price.
Paid partner listings
Some businesses pay to be featured on a guide page. Paid listings are labelled where they appear on the page, and the matching posts on our Instagram and Facebook are labelled as paid partnerships.
Adverts
The site shows adverts served by Google. We don’t choose the individual ads you see, and a business that appears in an ad has not been reviewed or recommended by us because of it.
Our shop
Orders from the shop are taken through this site and sent out directly by the supplier. We make money on each sale.
